This gravel pit is sited south of the Grand Union Canal Slough Arm and to the west of West Drayton. It has the Colne Brook on its west bank and the River Colne on its east bank. It is accessed via Trout Lane as part of the Thorney Weir / The Mets complex. UB7 7RT.

This part of the River Colne is the central run at Denham, being due east of the village. Denham Country Park lies to the east of the river and Buckinghamshire Golf Course lies to the west.
