This long stretch of canal provides fishing in New Haw, Woodham, Byfleet, West Byfleet, Wisley and Pyrford, and contains the junction with the Basingstoke Canal.
Parking is available around New Haw Lock, particularly suitable is a dead end that runs off the west side of Byfleet Road just east of the lock.
Other suitable points of access to the canal are at Murray’s Bridge where a footpath runs along Murray’s Lane from Rectory Lane in Byfleet (KT14 7NF), and at Dodd’s Bridge where a footpath runs along Dodd’s Lane off Pyrcroft Road in West Byfleet (GU22 8UQ).
At the south end of this stretch lies Pyrford Lock, adjacent to the Anchor pub. Lock Lane runs over the canal just above the Lock, and some parking can be found along this road.
