Location
River Colne and Wraysbury River at Harmondsworth is several stretches of river bank on the east side of the M25 near the M4 / M25 interchange, just west of Harmondsworth village at Harmondsworth Moor.
The Colne splits into two courses before it goes under the M25 from the north. The west water course is the Wraysbury River (which runs down to the M25) and the east water course is the River Colne.
On the Wraysbury River fishing is permitted on the east bank from the M4 down almost to the vicinity of the A4; on the west bank angling is permitted from the bridge where a public footpath crosses the river down to the join with a ditch that runs along the edge of the motorway interchange.
On the River Colne fishing is allowed on the east bank above the M4, and fishing is permitted on the west bank only from the M4 down to a small bridge just north of the A4.
Fishing is not allowed on the Duke of Northumberland’s River, nor on the ditch (Bigley Ditch) that runs along the edge of the motorway interchange.
