Anyone can join the Civil Service Angling Society, but there are discounts for civil servants and other public sector employees (NHS, police officers, teachers, firefighters, local authority staff).

Description


River Thames, Dumsey Meadow is a pleasant stretch of river providing free fishing in Chertsey, with many swims. Dumsey Meadow can be accessed from a small car park next to Chertsey Bridge, or from a pay and display car park on the south side of Chertsey Bridge Road. The east end of the Meadow can be accessed via a public footpath, with parking possible around the entrance to Old Littleton Road.

A small number of swims are available either end of the bridge.

Location

Penton Hook Lock island lies between Chertsey and Staines, and is just to the north east of Thorpe Park and adjacent to Penton Hook Marina. Access is from the east bank of the river via public footpaths leading from the Staines Road (B376). TW18 2JA.
