Finchampstead is located in the south of Berkshire between Swallowfield and Crowthorne, and south of Wokingham. RG40 3TS.

Angling in the Finchampstead area is still-water only. A large lake in California Park offers day and season ticket fishing for big carp and tench, while two small lakes supply pleasure angling on a day ticket basis.

Finchampstead has no fishing tackle shops. The nearest is Yateley Angling Centre to the south at 16, The Parade, Reading Road GU46 7UN. To the east is Crowthorne Angling Centre at 91-95 Church Street, Crowthorne RG45 7AW.

There is a Co-op to the north of Finchampstead at 420 Finchampstead Road RG40 3RD. After that the nearest is a Waitrose at Tresham Crescent, Yateley GU46 6FR.

Hurst is a village in the central part of Berkshire, lying east of Reading between Twyford and Winnersh in the Loddon valley. RG10 0DB.

Hurst is home to the Dinton Pastures Country Park which holds several lakes offering specimen angling on day tickets and daytime season tickets, along with a night fishing syndicate. Additionally, the River Loddon runs through western Hurst and provides serious river fishing on day and season tickets.

There is no fishing tackle shop in Hurst. However, there is one in nearby south Reading where
Woodley Tackle Box is based at 181 Wokingham Road, RG6 1LT

There are no supermarkets in Hurst to stock up for fishing trips. The closest is a Sainsbury’s at King Street Lane, Winnersh RG41 5AR.

Location

Wraysbury is located between Staines and Old Windsor on the east side of the Thames. It is close to the M25 and is in the far east of Berkshire. The B376 runs through the village and the area holds some of Britain’s most famous fisheries. TW19 5NW.

Angler amenities

The River Colne Brook provides river fishing in the area, with chub, bream and barbel available. All other fishing is via still-waters with the famous Wraysbury gravel pits dominating the scene, and specimen angling for carp, pike and tench on offer.

The nearest fishing tackle shop is Wraysbury Baits at Staines Road, TW19 5AG, and after that Davies Angling in Staines (47-49 Church Street TW18 4EN).

There are no supermarkets in Wraysbury. In nearby Staines there is a Waitrose at the Two Rivers Retail Park TW18 4WB (pay and display car park), and a little further on there is a Sainsbury’s at The Causeway TW18 3AP.
