This large complex is privately owned and is set between the A320 and the B388 on the south side of the M3 at Chertsey. The entrance to the complex is on the east side of the B388 (Thorpe Road). KT16 9EJ.

Hillswood Lakes are at Hillswood Business Park, near Homewood Park and due south of St Peter’s Hospital near Chertsey. The site is on the borders of Lyne, Chertsey and Ottershaw.

Description


Desborough Island is a substantial island within a big river offering free river angling in north Surrey. Numerous swims are available, with the ones in the vicinity of the bridges from Walton Lane being most used. Parking is available in small lay-bys along Walton Lane.

The middle of the north of the island is overgrown and there are few swims there. The east end of the bank facing Desborough Channel is private and cannot be fished.
