Information about fishing in Thorpe, a village between the Thames and the M25 south of Egham, east of Virginia Water. Within the same area is Thorpe Lea just to the north of the village and Thorpe Green just to the west. TW20 8UQ.

Numerous lakes supply season ticket fishing at Thorpe, while Thorpe Lea Fishery provides day ticket carp fishing; to the east  the Thames provide river fishing at Truss’s Island and Penton Hook Lock Island. Free fishing is available at Longside Lake, while pleasure fishing on a season ticket can be found at Crabtree Lake.

A fishing tackle shop is present in Thorpe, based in Thorpe Lea Fishery, Thorpe Lea Road, Thorpe, Surrey TW20 8PG. Out of the town the nearest fishing tackle shops are Wraysbury Bait Ltd and Davies Angling (47-49 Church Street, Staines TW18 4EN).

The village along with Thorpe Lea and Thorpe Green have no shopping areas. There is a general store on Green Road. The nearest supermarkets to stock up for fishing trips are located in Virginia Water, Chertsey and Egham.

In the old village is the Red Lion pub (Village Road, Thorpe TW20 8UE), which has an open fire in winter, and a large parking area. In Thorpe Green there is the Rose and Crown (Green Road, Thorpe TW20 8QL). Both pubs sell good real ales.
