This length of canal is also the River Kennet, with the river reunited with the canal just below Greenham Lock No 86 (adjacent to Gould Close). The fishery is in the east of Newbury between Newbury Business Park and Ham Marsh. Whitehouse footbridge crosses the canal in the fishery.

Large bream and massive carp are present, with a 64lb carp being caught from this lake in 2024.
