Fishing the Oxfordshire Thames
A guide to angling venues on the River Thames in Oxfordshire, with venues listed upstream to downstream.
The Thames arrives in Oxfordshire as a medium sized river, navigable but still not the wide river of the lower reaches; past Caversham and the join with the River Kennet the waterway becomes far larger. Near Goring the Thames becomes the boundary of the county of Oxfordshire as it heads downstream to Reading and Marlow, with the exception of Caversham which remains in Berkshire.
Coarse fishing on the Thames in Oxfordshire is almost exclusively via season ticket but there are a few venues where fishing is on offer via a day ticket (often bought in advance).
