The stretch of river is downstream of Romney Lock, adjacent to Romney Island and Weir. It is to the north east of Windsor and is overlooked by Windsor castle. Fishing in Potts Field runs from the boatyard fence down to the railway bridge. After this bridge is Home Park and fishing is permitted from the railway bridge to Victoria Bridge where the B470 crosses the Thames. SL4 6HX.

Fishing is from where the brook splits off of the Kennet just north of Garston Lock, along to the M4 and on until the railway.
