Tar Farm Lake 6 is part of the Tar Farm Complex which lies south east of Witney in Oxon, on the Tar Lane / Cogges Road which links Witney to Stanton Harcourt village. The entrance to the fishery is opposite Tar Farm Cottages, about half way between the A40 at Witney and Stanton Harcourt. Lake Six is on the eastern edge of the complex, adjacent to Cogges Lane.
