Location

Ash is located due east of Aldershot, and Ash Vale is just to the north of Ash. GU12 6LF.

Angler amenities

River fishing is available to the west of Ash Vale courtesy of the River Blackwater where angling is free. Canal fishing is supplied by the Basingstoke Canal and numerous lakes provide stillwater angling.

Day ticket angling is available at popular complexes Willow Park in Ash and Hollybush in Ash Vale; specimen carp and night fishing are available at both. Season ticket carp fishing is supplied by the Ash Stillwaters and the adjacent Lakeside lakes. To the south west of Ash pleasure angling on a season ticket is available at Shawfields and similarly to the east at Wyke Farm Pond in Normandy.

There are two fishing tackle shops in the Ash and Ash Vale area: Fish For Tackle, 149 Ash Hill Road, Aldershot GU12 5DW and the on-site tackle shop at Willow Park fishery Youngs Drive, Off Shawfield Road, Ash Vale GU12 6RE. The nearest outside of the area is Hampshire Tackle, 133 Ash Rd, Aldershot , GU12 4DB.

There is a supermarket in the Ash & Ash Vale area, a Budgens at 14, Wharf Rd, Ash Vale, GU12 5AS. Further afield the nearest is a Lidl at Wellington Centre, Aldershot, GU11 1DB.
