A quality guide to fishing in Snodland
Information about angling in Snodland and surrounding areas including Lunsford, New Hythe and Larkfield, covering fishing venues, tackle shops, supermarkets, and local weather. Part of a guide to angling in Kent.
Snodland is a town in northern Kent, lying north west of Maidstone, and close to Junction 4 of the M20. The conurbation lies on the west bank of the tidal River Medway.
The Snodland area offers some of the most historic and amazing specimen coarse angling in southern England. A belt of large still-waters run across the south and east of the conurbation providing syndicate and season ticket angling for large carp, tench, bream and pike. To emphasis just how good the specimen carp fishing is in this area carp of fifty pounds or more are present at Larky 2 and Brooklands, with upper 40s present in two other local venues.
In addition, amongst this plethora of specimen fishing venues, lies the Trout Lake and Ford Lake which offer pleasure angling on a season ticket basis.
Snodland has no supermarkets for stocking up for fishing trips. However, not far away to the south there is a Tesco Extra at Lunsford Park, Larkfield ME20 6RJ.
