The powerful and popular chub is present in most if not all the rivers of Berkshire including the Blackwater, the Colne Brook, the Enbourne, the Kennet, the Loddon, the Thames and the Whitewater. Chub of 5lb are not uncommon in these angling venues, with specimens of up to 8lb known in some Berkshire river beats.
