Location
Stanton Harcourt village lies west of Oxford, to the south of Eynsham, in the area between the Rivers Cherwell and Thames. South of the A40 and east of the A415. OX29 5RJ.

Several still-waters offer coarse angling in the vicinity of Stanton Harcourt village.
To the west Stanton Harcourt Lake offers syndicate fishing for specimen carp up to the upper thirties.
Additionally, to the south of the village, Lynch Hill Fishery provides syndicate fishing on large established gravel pits for rudd, roach, specimen tench, specimen bream, specimen pike and specimen carp which exceed 40lb.
Stanton Harcourt has no fishing tackle shops. The nearest is to the north at Witney: State Fishing Tackle, 23 Fettiplace Rd, Witney OX28 5AP. To the west another fishing tackle shop is available at Bampton: Rv’s Fishing Tackle, Unit 2 THE OLD FOUNDRY, Main St, Clanfield, Bampton OX18 2SP.
