Description
A rural stretch of river supplying coarse angling via season ticket in the Thrupp area. On the west bank fishing is permitted between boat moorings north of the Thrupp Canal Cruising Club site, and then south of Canal Road to the Jolly Boatman. On the east bank angling is permitted from Shipton Bridge to Annies Tea Shop adjacent to Aubreys Lift Bridge. For the fishing club’s webpage for this angling venue click HERE.

Location
Oxford Canal, Shipton to Thrupp lies between Shipton-on-Cherwell and Thrupp. The venue starts just south of the Shipton Bridge ( 220 ) which is located on the south side of Shipton, and runs south east to Canal Road as it crosses the waterway at Aubreys Lift Bridge (221) OX5 1JZ, and then southwest down to the vicinity of Sparrow Gap Bridge (223). OX5 1JU.
