Location
Deal is a coastal town on the eastern coast of Kent, between Dover and Ramsgate. CT14 6ER. Coarse angling is provided courtesy of the Cottington complex to the north west of the town.
Angler amenities
Coarse angling at Deal is supplied by the Cottington day ticket fishing complex to the north west of the town which includes eight lakes which hold the carp, bream, tench and other coarse species. The lakes mainly offer pleasure angling, but two of the lakes provide angling for carp to low doubles, one holds carp to 20lb, another to upper thirties and one to over 50lb.
Deal has no fishing tackle shops, but there is one at the Cottington fishing complex.
Deal has two main supermarkets to stock up on fishing trips, both near each other in the centre of the town. There is a Sainsbury’s at 36-38 West St, Deal, CT14 6AH, and also an ALDI at 5 West Street, Deal, CT14 6FN.
