Location

Hungerford is a town in western Berkshire in the Kennet Valley. Hungerford is south of Junction 14 of the M4, and west of Newbury. Hungerford is located near the meeting of the A4 and A338. RG17 0JG.


Angler amenities

Much of the fishing around Hungerford is river angling courtesy of the River Kennet. The local river beats are split into two fisheries and offer game angling with some options for coarse fishing.

The Kennet and Avon Canal also provides plentiful season ticket canal fishing in the area. Species present in the local stretches of the canal include carp, tench, bream, pike, roach, perch and even some grayling and trout. One club report carp in excess of twenty pounds in their venue.
