Location
Appledore is a village in the Isle of Oxney in southern Kent, south of Ashford and lying to the north of Rye. Appledore lies to the west of the A2070, and is close to the Rother Levels. TN26 2AE.
Angler amenities
The Royal Military Canal runs through Appledore and offers season ticket pleasure angling in the area. Angling for medium sized carp is provided at Brooklands Reservoir to the south east of Appledore, whilst further coarse fishing is supplied via the local riverways.
There are no fishing tackle shops in Appledore. East of Appledore there is Romney Angling at 59 High St, New Romney TN28 8AH.
Appledore holds no supermarkets for stocking up for fishing trips. The nearest are to the west at Tenterden where there are two large chain supermarkets; a Waitrose at Recreation Ground Rd, 10 Sayers Lane, Tenterden, TN30 6BW and a Tesco at Moat Field Meadow, Kingsnorth, Ashford, TN23 3LU.
