Description
River Thames Sandford Weir is a long stretch of the non-navigable Thames providing coarse angling on a season ticket without boat traffic. Above the weir tench, carp and roach are present, whilst below chub, perch and bream are prevalent. The water is controlled by Reading and District Angling Association. Sandford Weir Location
The River Thames Sandford Weir fishing venue is on the west side of the River Thames facing the Sandford Weir and Lock islands in the vicinity of Kennington. As the Thames passes Rose Isle and heads downstream towards Sandford Lock, it splits into two waterways at Fiddlers Elbow and the main waterway runs along the east side of the islands to the Lock. Fishing is on the west waterway, on the west bank above the weir and below to Sandford Lane. OX1 5RP.
