Location

Uxbridge is a large town in the Colne valley, on the western edge of Middlesex and Greater London. It lies east of the M25, and south of the A40. UB8 1HD.

Angler amenities

River fishing is available in the Uxbridge area courtesy of both the River Colne and the Colne Brook which flow along the western edge of the conurbation. Fish species include chub, barbel, roach, perch, carp, and eels.

Additionally pleasure angling is offered by the Grand Union Canal which shadows the Colne to the west of the town and holds bream, tench, pike, rudd, dace, roach, perch an carp.

Meanwhile several lakes in the area provide pleasure fishing and specimen angling on a season ticket basis, with Little Britain lake to the south offering free fishing.

There are no fishing tackle shops in Uxbridge. However, outside of Uxbridge the nearest fishing tackle shop is Farlows Tackle Shop to the west at Farlows Lake, Ford Lane, Iver, SL0 9LL.

Furthermore to the north east there is also the Fishermans Cabin at 795 Field End Rd, Ruislip, HA4 0QL.

Additionally Harefield to the north has a fishing tackle shop at Harefield Tackle, 2-4 High St, Harefield UB9 6BU.

For stocking up for your fishing trip there is a large Sainsbury’s in the town at York Road, Uxbridge, UB8 1QW.
