Location
River Wey Old Woking lies downstream of the A247 Send Road to the south of Old Woking, near to St Peters Church (GU22 9JF). Fishing is permitted on both banks. On the south bank it starts nearer the A247, and runs until the river joins Broadmead Cut. On the north bank the fishing runs on to the north bank of the Wey Navigation and on to the B367 Newark Lane.

Chertsey Bourne is a very small river passing through a variety of parks, offering free fishing in Chertsey.

The Chertsey Bourne runs through Chertsey from north west to east. It emerges from the A320 and runs through Gogmore Farm Park where it can be fished at many places, then it passes under Guildford Street and flows through the Sports Ground adjacent to Eastworth Road where again it is fishable from several points. Downstream of Fordwater Road the Bourne enters Chertsey Meads where it is fishable from many areas.

Description
Desborough Island is a substantial island within a big river offering free river angling in north Surrey. Numerous swims are available, with the ones in the vicinity of the bridges from Walton Lane being most used. Parking is available in small lay-bys along Walton Lane.
The middle of the north of the island is overgrown and there are few swims there. The east end of the bank facing Desborough Channel is private and cannot be fished.
