Details
This is the most upstream stretch of the original Wey Navigation, before the historic waterway was extended to Godalming via what was technically is the Godalming Navigation. The fishing section runs from Stoke Lock to Town Bridge, which is the crossing point of the High Street.
Fishing is allowed from Town Bridge on the west bank up to Woodbridge Road(A25).
Downstream of Woodbridge Road angling is on the east bank of the Navigation until the A320.
Downstream of the A320 the Wey splits and the river loops off to the east while the Navigation heads north to Stoke Lock. Fishing is permitted on the east bank of the Navigation and on the west bank of the river. Angling is also allowed on the east bank of the river from the A3 down to the Lock.
