Description
A stretch of river in a council controlled park supplying free coarse angling in Reading. For the council’s webpage for this venue click HERE. Fishing is not allowed upstream of Wolsey Road. The upstream half of the fishing section holds a large island (Frys Island) which splits the Thames in half; this section contains further islands providing more features for angling.This is a popular park and the river can be very busy in summer.

Location
This Thames venue is in a park on the north side of the River Thames in Lower Caversham, between Caversham Bridge (where the A4155 crosses the river at Bridge Street) and Reading Bridge. George Street at the east end of the venue contains a pay and display car park. RG4 8BY.
