Location

River Thame, Dorchester is a bank of the river in Hurst Water Meadow on the east side of Dorchester. The venue is just west of the A4074 and just after the Thame passes under the main road it splits into two water courses; the Mill Race runs along the south side of Hurst Water Meadow and after clearing the Mill Pond is known as the Mill Stream, while the Thame runs north and then west along the edge of the Meadow. Angling on the Thame is on the west / south bank after the split from the Mill Race and runs downstream to just past the footpath bridge; angling on the Mill Stream is allowed on the north bank and runs from just below the Mill Pond downstream to the join with the Thame.
