River Rother fishing

A guide to fishing in the River Rother

Information about angling in the River Rother with a page for each venue, including fishery controller details, species present, and anglers map. Part of a guide to river fishing in Kent and Sussex.

The river arises close to Rotherfield in east Sussex (and is not to be confused with the River Rother of west Sussex) and flows broadly west to east, passing Robertsbridge, Ewhurst Green, and Bodiam. At Bodiam the Rother becomes the bord between Sussex and Kent until just south of Wittersham, near Iden. The river continues its easterly flow from Bodiam toward Newenden then swings south near Iden and flows into Rye Harbour.
