Canal fishing at Yiewsley, West Drayton and Hayes
A stretch of canal supplying coarse angling via season ticket or day ticket; tickets should be purchased before fishing. For the club’s webpage for this venue click HERE.
Fishing is from the towpath only which lies on the north side of the canal along the whole length. The fishery begins at Trout Road Bridge (No 191) in Yiewsley, and runs south east, passing under Yiewsley High Street Bridge (No 192), running close to West Drayton Station, and then eastwards some distance to Horton Road Bridge (No 193). At this point a railway runs along the south side while an industrial estate is on the north bank, and the towpath side becomes more landscaped and park like as the canal travels under the Iron Bridge, Old Stockley Road Bridge, the modern Stockley Road Bridge, the Woolpack Bridge (by the Woolpack Pub) at Dawley Road (No 198) and up to the Workhouse Bridge at Printing House Lane.
From here the canal continues east through urban surroundings. Just east of Printing House Lane lies a winding hole. The waterway then runs a short distance to Station Road Bridge (No 200) which is the end of the fishery.
