Location
Marshside is a village in north eastern Kent, lying to the south east of Herne Bay and north of the A28. CT3 4EG.
Angler amenities
Three still-waters in the countryside to the east of Marshside provide angling in the area. Wanstum Angling Association control the fishing on these venues and angling is via day or season ticket. Little Homersham provides pleasure angling for smaller carp and silvers, whilst Homersham Lake offers fishing for specimen carp of 30lb+ along with rudd, roach, tench, bream and chub. Scroggins Lake holds carp to mid-twenties, big tench to 12lb, and perch to 3lb.
Marshside does not have a fishing tackle shop, but there is one to the west at Herne Common where Absolute Tackle are located at Wealden Forest Park, 12, Herne Common CT6 7LQ.
There are no supermarkets to stock up for fishing trips in Marshside. However, to the north at Herne Bay there is Sainsbury’s Herne Bay Superstore at 6 The Boulevard, Altira Business Park, Herne Bay, CT6 6GZ.
