Location

Marden is located in southern Kent, due south of Maidstone and east of Paddock Wood. The village lies on the west side of the A229. TN12 9JY.

Angler amenities

A variety of coarse angling is on offer via day ticket (and some on season ticket) at the Monk Lakes complex to the east of Marden including a river beat. Meanwhile, to the west of the village at Claygate Lakes three still-waters provide coarse angling on a day ticket and some fishing via season ticket courtesy of local angling clubs.

In Marden village itself Pattenden Lane Lake supplies season ticket angling for carp, tench and other species. To the north of the village several stretches of the Rver Beult off season ticket fishing.

There is a fishing tackle shops in the vicinity of Marden, with one being located to the east of the villages at Monk Lakes, Staplehurst Road, Marden, Kent TN12 9BS.

Marden has no supermarkets to stock up for fishing trips. However, there is a Sainsbury’s nearby to the east at Station Rd, Staplehurst, Tonbridge, TN12 0QE.
