Location
Hythe is a seaside town in south eastern Kent, close to Folkestone and near to the M20. CT21 6BQ.
Angler amenities
Coarse angling in Hythe is supplied by the Royal Military Canal which comes into the town from the west, running through to Seabrook in the east, and also by Martello Lakes to the west of Hythe which contain eels, perch, rudd, bream, pike, tench and huge carp to 40lb.
Further north at Stanford village Stanford North Lake provides pleasure coarse fishing in a season ticket basis and holds carp, tench, roach, rudd, and catfish amongst other species.
There is a fishing tackle shop in the centre of Hythe: Den’s Tackle at 73 Dymchurch Rd, Hythe CT21 6JN.
Hythe has two supermarkets to stock up for fishing trips. There is a Sainsbury’s in the centre of the town at 19 Military Rd, Hythe CT21 5AS, and an ALDI on the west side of the town at Dymchurch Rd, Hythe CT21 6HJ.
