The method rig

The method rig is a way of angling for carp where the lead is replaced by a heavy frame (a method feeder) around which is squashed a method mix – a paste of groundbait and pellets – which is then cast out with the hookbait.

Modern tackle developments have meant a variety of frames are available which cover the options necessary for the carp fisherman.
