Angling with baitboats
Baitboats are a common modern appliance that anglers use in pursuit of large or specimen fish. They have been about since the late 90s, although odd ones converted out of remote control boats were used by pioneers before the angling industry started to bulk produce them.
Some fisheries ban them, others allow them and have specific rules that take them into account.
Many anglers use them, many hate them. Here the Carp Fishing Tutor provides some insight into usage of these items which should assist anglers who are thinking of investing in one, or who are curious as to what it is all about.
Why do anglers use them? For several reasons:
- to present baits in areas that would not normally be reachable from casting a rod,
- to ensure accurate bait presentation,
- to avoid tangles.
