Sonning Eye Pit Location

Sonning Eye Pit is on the west side of Sonning village, which itself is on north east side of Reading. It lies on the north of the Thames, due east of Caversham, south of Play Hatch village. Access is from the B478 Whistley Mill Lane. RG4 6TU.

Description


Sonning Eye Pit is a very large lake with islands, and split by a peninsula, supplying coarse angling and specimen carp fishing on a season ticket. A sailing club is present, and much of the lake is out of bounds to anglers. The water is run by Reading and District Angling Association.For the RDAA webpage for this venue click HERE.
