Location

Cookham is a Berkshire village in the Thames Valley, lying in the north of eastern Berkshire; it is sited north of Maidenhead. The A4094 trunk road runs through the village. SL6 9JF.

Fishing is dominated by the River Thames via local angling clubs (with a syndicate river beat at Winter Hill), but just to the north of the village is Spade Oak Lake where season ticket stillwater fishing is available for carp to over 35lb along with pike, tench, bream and rudd. The stretches of the Thames in the vicinity of Cookham hold pike, bream, chub, dace, roach, eels along with other species.

Cookham has no fishing tackle shop, the nearest fishing tackle shop is to the east at Slough where Angling Direct has a fishing tackle shop at 26 Buckingham Ave, Slough SL1 4QA.

Cookham has no major supermarkets. The nearest is a Spar to the south at 130 Cookham Road, Maidenhead SL6 7HR, and beyond that a Sainsbury’s at Providence Place, Maidenhead SL6 8AG.
