Farnham is located along the River Wey North Branch adjacent to the A31, south west of Aldershot in the west of Surrey. GU9 7DR.

Fishing in Farnham itself is limited to the River Wey with free fishing available on the stretch by the bypass on the east side of the town, and season ticket angling on offer at the Hatches upstream of Farnham. In the area surrounding Farnham fishing is available on several lakes with these mainly offering pleasure angling. However, at Badshot Lea Big Pond specimen fishing for catfish is on offer. Angling in the area is mainly on a season ticket basis.
There are no fishing tackle shops in Farnham, but there is one in nearby Aldershot – Hampshire Tackle at 133, Ash Rd, Aldershot GU12 4DB .
Farnham contains numerous supermarkets where an angler can stock up for fishing trips.
In the town itself there is a Sainsbury’s store at 16, South St, Farnham GU9 7RP, an Iceland at 17, The Woolmead, Farnham, GU9 7TX, and a Waitrose at The Hart, Farnham, GU9 7HD.
Additionally to the east of the town another Sainsbury’s is located at Water Lane, Farnham GU9 9NJ.
