Location
Leatherhead is a town in central Surrey adjacent to Junction 9 of the M25, north of Dorking. KT22 8DP.
Angler amenities
The River Mole provides river fishing opportunities in Leatherhead and the surrounding areas. Species include barbel to 13lb, chub to 6lb, perch to 5lb, roach, dace, bream and pike.
In addition lake fishing is available at Horsley Towers Lake (where carp to ten pounds or so are available) and at the ponds in Great Bookham which hold carp to mid-doubles, tench, bream, rudd, roach, perch and crucians. All angling in the area is on a season ticket basis.
Leatherhead and District Angling Society operates fishing venues in this area.
There are no fishing tackle shops in Leatherhead. However, there is a fishing tackle shop in Dorking to the south at S C Fuller, 28-30, South Street RH4 2HQ.
After that the nearest tackle shop is to the north at Surbiton Angling Centre, 31, Station Approach, Esher, KT10 0SR.
Leatherhead has two supermarkets to stock up for fishing trips: Sainsbury’s at 19-25 The Swan Centre, High Street, KT22 8AH, and Tesco at Oxshott Road, KT22 0EF.
