Dorking is situated in the North Downs at the eastern end of the county on the meeting point of the A24 and A25. RH4 1UX.

Dorking fishing includes the ample river angling options supplied by the River Mole in the Dorking area. There are several coarse fishing lakes in the vicinity offering season ticket and day ticket angling, and Bury Hill supplies specimen carp fishing to the west of the town.
