River Great Ouse, Bucks

Fishing the Buckinghamshire Ouse

A guide to angling venues on the River Great Ouse in Buckinghamshire. Part of a guide to angling in Bucks.

The river arises from the confluence of a series of small waterways just upstream of Biddlesden in western Bucks and forms the western boundary of the county as it flows south west to Brackley, and then south east past Westbury and Water Stratford. Downstream of here it flows east through Buckingham and is joined by the Padbury Brook where it becomes a bigger waterway and flows on toward Thornton. At this point it once again forms the county boundary as it flows around the north western edge of Milton Keynes until Cosgrove. The river finally exits Bucks as it flows past east Lavendon.
