Fishing the Thames at Teddington 

Location

Teddington Weir is just upstream from Teddington Lock. Fishing at the lock island is not permitted. However, at the Weir island – linked to the mainland by two footbridges – fishing is allowed.

Description

A small stretch of the Thames offering river angling from the weir island. Only the downstream section of the weir can be fished.

The river is broad and strong at this stage, having been joined by the several tributaries. This part of the Thames is tidal.
