Fishing in Staines

Staines is a large town on the Thames near the western M25, served by the A30. In the surrounding areas are some of the most famous carp lakes in Britain, to the north west. TW18 4QR.

The River Thames provides river fishing in the Staines area, while Chertsey Lane Lake supplies season ticket fishing for large carp and general coarse fish.

Staines has a tackle shop; Davies Angling (47-49 Church Street TW18 4EN)

The town has a large retail presence and adjacent to Davies Angling is the Two Rivers Retail Park. This contains a Waitrose. On the west side of the Thames there is a Sainsbury’s based on the south side of The Causeway (TW18 3AP).

The town possesses many pubs; in Church Street just along from the tackle shop is the Phoenix, the Hobgoblin and a Wetherspoons (The George).
