The Dynamite Baits backed AT/CRT Canal Pairs latest match saw 26 hopefuls take on the Grand Union canal at Foxton. In the lead up to the match there had been an awful lot of small silvers showing and so this proved on the qualifier as well.

Anglers in South Wales have welcomed the UK government’s decision not to provide financial support for the proposed tidal lagoon in Swansea Bay that would have risked serious harm to marine and migratory fish populations, and other aquatic wildlife.

The Angling Trust Individual National followed its historic path with Division 1 to the mighty River Trent and it was certainly well supported, with a record turnout for the day of 207 anglers.

Forty-eight anglers fished Sundays’ RiverFest Qualifier on the River Yare. With a big tide forecast and big weights of bream being caught during the festival leading up to the event, most were resting their hopes on the feeder.

Our youngest representatives for Team England put in a stellar performance in oppressively hot conditions on the Cavo Lama Canal, Italy. The angling on the venue was somewhat alien to the team and surrounded catching very small carp with both bloodworm and sticky maggot, but they adapted brilliantly to take home an impressive fourth place.
