General rules

No night fishing
Maximum 2 rods
No fishing within 50 metres of locks
Standard coarse season applies
Produce ticket to National Trust staff
Close all gates
Take no dogs
No damaging or interfering with fences
Cross fields by authorised routes only
Keep to riverbank at all times
Picknicking, camping, lighting of fires and leaving of litter are forbidden
Do not obstruct gates with cars or cycles

Details

The waterway flows down through fields, past Riverside Park Nature Reserve on the east side, past Bower’s Mill and into Burpham Court Farm Park.

Angling is permitted on the east bank throughout this section.

On the west bank angling is allowed downstream as far as the weir where the river splits away from the Navigation and heads west to go round Burpham Court.

Downstream stretch: Triggs Lock to Bowers Lock

Upstream stretch: Stoke Lock to Millmead Lock
