Location

Hayes is a Middlesex suburb to the west of Southall adjacent to the M4, and lies north of Heathrow Airport.

Angler amenities

Fishing in the area is limited to still water venues. The Grand Union Canal provides pleasure angling via three different stretches. To the south west, just over the border lies Stockley Lake which offers specimen carp angling, while to the south at Cranford Lake in Harlington supplies carp and pleasure fishing.

There are no fishing tackle shops in Hayes (or Harlington). The nearest is Farlows Tackle Shop to the west at Farlows Lake, Ford Lane, Iver, SL0 9LL. To the north there is also the Fishermans Cabin at 795 Field End Rd, Ruislip, HA4 0QL.

For stocking up on fishing trip supplies there are two major supermarkets in Hayes. There is a Sainsburys in the east of the town at Lombardy Retail Park, Coldharbour Lane, Hayes, UB3 3EX. There is also, in the south west of Hayes, an Asda at Millington Rd, Hayes, UB3 4AZ.
